INDIVIDUAL COACHING

Case study in how resilience prepares high potentials to face next challenges.

The Challenge

A major bank was looking for a program to prepare a group of high-potentials for the next step in their career. The intention was to support the coachee getting ready to embrace the challenges ahead without compromising his health and happiness.

The Engagement

An individual coaching program was offered on an individual and voluntary basis. HR and the high potential decided together whether the program would add value to the person involved.

The program contained 12 hours of coaching: 6 hours face-to-face (3 sessions) and 6 calls (1 hour).

The coachee completed the Resilience Diagnostic at the start of the program and before the last session, 5 months later.

On the basis of the diagnostic, clear goals were defined in each individual case and the resilience model was used in a coaching-way. Key topics covered:

 

  • Insight: building self-awareness across the range of human experience from the downward spiral to optimal performance.
  • Mastery: constructing a daily discipline to cultivate optimal well-being, emotional intelligence and sustainable performance.
The Impact

Person A: The resilience ratio improved from 1,48 to 2,61. Highlights include:

  • 211% increase in Physical Vitality
  • 23% increase in Spirit in Action
  • 45% reduction in Vulnerability
  •  44% reduction in Distress

Person B : Was coached during a full year. The Resilience Ratio doubled going from 1.02 to 2,04. Highlights include:

GLOBAL BANKING INSTITUTION

Case study in how resilience empowers leadership development.

The Challenge

This global Banking institution wanted to bring its high potential and diverse leaders from around the world together in a program to generate resilient leadership behaviours and develop outstanding, agile international leaders.

The Engagement

30 participants engaged in 2 waves of an intensive two-day workshop in resilience and leadership. The workshop was followed by a Resilience Refresher webinar (3 months after the workshop), weekly digital reminders and a second residential workshop a year later. Key topics covered:

  • Insight: building self-awareness across the range of human experience from the downward spiral to optimal performance.
  • Mastery: constructing a daily discipline to regularly rejuvenate, to cultivate optimal vitality, to engage emotions and to create a constructive mind-set.

Participants completed our 60 factor Resilience Diagnostic at start and three months after the 1st workshop.

The Impact

A 40% improvement in overall resilience. The Resilience Ratio improved from 1.83 to 2.57. Highlights include:

Case study in how resilience empowers female leaders.

The Challenge

This global company is determined to accompany female top executive talents, across various geographies, to boost their career and accelerate the access to executive committee functions. Since 2014, the Resilience program is included in a one-year Leadership path. Wave 5 starting in 2018.

The Engagement

32 participants engaged in 4 waves of an intensive two-day workshop in resilience and leadership. Supported by a Resilience Refresher Session (3 months after the workshop) and weekly digital reminders, they continued the journey for 6 months. Key topics covered:

  • Insight: building self-awareness across the range of human experience from the downward spiral to optimal performance.
  • Mastery: constructing a daily discipline to regularly rejuvenate, to cultivate optimal vitality, to engage emotions and to create a constructive mind-set.

The Challenge

This leading global Professional Services firm wanted to support its top executives in their extremely demanding job. Since 2016, the Resilience program is offered year on year to partners & directors.

The Engagement

24 participants engaged in 2 waves of an intensive one-day workshop in resilience followed by individual debriefing session. Supported by weekly reminders, a Resilience Refresher Session (2 months after the workshop) and again individual post-program debriefing, the journey spreads over 5 months. Key topics covered:

  • Insight: building self-awareness across the range of human experience from the downward spiral to optimal performance.
