STUART TAYLOR – MANAGING PARTNER

In 2002, while climbing the ladder to corporate executive, Stuart was diagnosed with Brain Cancer; prognosis 2.5 years.

Far from accept the prognosis, Stuart embarked on a journey back to physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual health. Part of this journey included creating The Resilience Institute in Australia to share his experience and philosophy with Australian organizations.

Stuart has recently celebrated his 10-year milestone and is going from strength to strength.

Prior to joining The Resilience Institute, Stuart was an Associate Director with KPMG and then worked as a senior manager in a global corporation.

PETA SIGLEY – CHIEF KNOWLEDGE OFFICER 

Peta Sigley is a Principal with The Resilience Institute in Australia. She has an extensive business management background including Human Resources, having worked in large corporations (transport and banking) as well as not-for-profit and philanthropic organisations. Her academic credentials include economics, psychology and counselling.

Over the last decade Peta has put her resilience to the test supporting her partner with a chronic illness whilst maintaining her career and family cohesion. Undoubtedly, Peta is a strong role model for her children and those who have witnessed this journey of positivity, courage and optimism.

Peta’s client focus includes the transport sector, accounting, banking & finance, education and Not-for-Profit organisations.

SIMON COOK – DIRECTOR 

Simon has had over 30 years of successful leadership experience in multi-site and major retail businesses, safety and global franchising as well as corporate commercial roles in both the UK and Australian energy sector.

As a sought-after coach and mentor, he is valued for his insight and ability to deeply connect with those he works with, cultivating a safe, authentic and trusting environment where positive challenges deliver positive results.

Simon’s passion lies in inspiring individuals to strive to be the best version of themselves that they can be, thereby enabling teams of all sizes and types – including remote teams – to achieve a sustainable level of high performance by actively supporting each other.

SHARON GRIFFIN – DIRECTOR

Before joining Springfox, Sharon spent over two decades at a leading global professional services firm where she held senior HR roles across the US, UK, Australia and Southeast Asia.

Across a number of businesses Sharon developed strategies and programmes, and advised senior leaders and their teams in the following areas: performance and reward, employee engagement, talent acquisition and management, global mobility, acquisitions and post-merger integration.

Sharon’s belief in the fundamental pillars of resilience come from a deeply personal place that she shares openly with her clients and colleagues. Sharon’s clients consistently comment on her calm, authentic, caring, and pragmatic approach to all that she does.

AMANDA PURNELL – DIRECTOR

Prior to joining the organisation, Amanda spent 17 years working for leading organisations in the Oil and Gas sector. Amanda has strong business management experience across a variety of disciplines including Strategy, Business Development, Operations and Marketing. In addition to her extensive corporate background, Amanda has a strong interest in her local community and is passionate about contributing to society at a ‘grass roots’ level.

Amanda’s journey with The Resilience Institute began as a program participant. After undertaking a journey of personal transformation, she eventually made the life changing decision to leave the corporate sector. She is deeply committed to the benefits of adopting the evidence-based principles of The Resilience Institute, empowering others to reach sustainable high performance.

Amanda consistently receives outstanding feedback from clients, who appreciate her collaborative, passionate and engaging facilitation style.

REBECCA SEBASTIAN – DIRECTOR

Prior to joining Springfox, Rebecca spent over 20 years working in the fast-paced environment of Information, Communications and Technology. Whilst physical well-being has always been important, in more recent years her focus has expanded to mental well-being.

Rebecca chose to take a more integrated approach and explored mindfulness practices, ultimately leading her to re-shape her vision and bring her best to all facets of life.

Rebecca unlocks the energy, passion and potential in individuals and teams so that they can perform at their best. Her experience in leadership roles in sales and channels enables her to work with leaders and individuals at all levels across public, private, not for profit and start up organisations.

MADELEINE SHAW – DIRECTOR

Madeleine Shaw is a Senior Manager with The Resilience Institute. In her previous career as a lawyer with leading law firms, and then a major multinational corporation, Madeleine had up-close and personal experience of the benefits of resilience.

Madeleine’s formal first steps along the path to resilience began as a participant in a Resilience Institute leadership program in 2007. She became passionate about working with people to help them perform at their best, sustainably and enjoyably. Madeleine is now an in-demand consultant and facilitator. She is a qualified executive coach and works with people across a range of roles and sectors, helping them to achieve the success they want in their lives.

Madeleine’s down to earth style combined with her laser focus gets great results and she loves seeing people make the changes they want in their lives.

MONIQUE SLADE – DIRECTOR

Monique Slade is a facilitator with The Resilience Institute and has worked extensively in the advertising and production industries for multinational agencies in Sydney and Europe.

She has developed the very successful adventure and inspiration company True Spirit, designed to inspire and challenge its participants both physically and mentally.

Working with both corporations and charity foundations, Monique has taken participants through life-changing quests to better understand their own levels of resilience. It is this work which has led her to work at The Resilience Institute Australia.

Clients overwhelmingly speak of Monique’s ability to motivate, inspire and lead. Bringing relentless enthusiasm, courage and commitment to develop the human spirit.

ALEXANDRA BOWEN – SENIOR MANAGER

Alex is passionate about helping individuals enjoy greater health and happiness by being more resilient.

She has had a dynamic corporate career in senior employee engagement and communication roles in Australia and overseas and has a long-held passion for physical and emotional wellbeing. She now loves being able to integrate the two by working in the area of resilience.

In addition to facilitating and consulting, Alex is a coach and feels inspired by helping people overcome stress and achieve greater clarity and focus in their day-to-day lives. Alex is a long-term yoga practitioner and qualified teacher with special interest in the therapeutic application of yoga and mindfulness practices to counter health challenges such as stress and anxiety.

PAUL SALMON – SENIOR MANAGER

Paul has a distinguished background in leadership in education, with extensive experience in management, program design, staff development, and both teacher training and student facilitation.

Having spent almost three decades designing and leading programs on school camps, retreats and leadership development pathways, Paul has seen first-hand the positive impact that can emerge from eye-opening encounters and the noticeable difference in outcomes for those who continuously self-reflect and adjust for growth.

He is a big advocate for guiding people to broaden their comfort zone and consider “the more” that could further fulfil their lives.

GERALDINE LOCKLEY – SENIOR CONSULTANT

Geraldine is a skilled coach and psychologist. Using our Resilience model as a foundation, she guides clients to go beyond ‘keeping on top of things’ by applying practical skills to develop personal and professional resilience, helping them to sustain high performance and optimal wellbeing.

With professional experience in counselling, psychology, management consulting and operational and strategic human resource management with individuals, teams and organizations, Geraldine has developed great insight into the demands and challenges within large systems.

Extensive experience in her psychology practice has given Geraldine insight into how individuals respond to different types of pressure and that resilience can be learned.
